Bazz the Granddude has used a wide canvas for his songwriting and recording career for over 40 years, painting in hues of The Blues, Rock and Roll, Folk/Americana, and even a little jazz. Performing solo is a rewarding experience, but the solo format does not facilitate all of the Granddude catalog.
Without even trying, the Charlotte Blues Society has provided a few Good Sports to help clear that hurdle. Ron Sheehan, a regular at the CBS monthly jam since the days of The Double Door Inn, brings the fire for the grittiest of blues songs and the subtlety needed for soft acoustic confessions. If he looks familiar, he provides accompaniment at almost every flavor of open mic in the Charlotte area. You've probably seen him making other people sound good too.
John Kunkel (bass) and Pat Campbell (drums) provide the solid foundation of the Charlotte Blues Society's “House Band”, Deja Blues. After they included Bazz at the Cool Kids Table to play covers with that well received project, they've agreed to bring their considerable skills to the universe of original music.
Make no mistake, these Good Sports are not just placeholders for the songs that have been released into the music streaming world. At each gathering they bring new ideas and breathe new life into all Bazz the Granddude compositions.
So go ahead, listen to the album (Chill and Experience). Churn through over 30 other addtional songs from the Granddude catalog. Then, discover how the Good Sports supercharge it all!
